Trip Program

This program includes round-trip airline tickets from Santiago to Easter Island, both without stop-overs, via LATAM AIRLINES flight #841, departure at 8:25am and return with flight #842 departure at 1:00pm (the flight schedule may be subject to change).

Accommodation for 4 nights in the Rapa Nui Hotel or similar, in double, triple or quadruple room.

Meals: 4 breakfasts in the hotel and 4 dinners. One “lunch box” style lunch for full day tour. Tour and service details can be found below under “itinerary”. Assistance and trip insurances. Local tourist guide service.

Notes:

1.-  The prices above give access to rooms with all the aforementioned details, but these prices do not include single rooms, only double, triple, quadruple. We will therefore have to share rooms.

2.-  CONAF is the NATIONAL FOREST CORPORATION, a governmental entity of Chile responsible for Easter Island’s heritage that applies a tax for its preservation, hence the difference in costs between national and international passengers.

 

Trip itinerary

 

DAY 1. SANTIAGO – EASTER ISLAND (HANGA ROA VILLAGE)

Welcoming of the group by the responsible coordinator at the Arturo Merino Benítez airport to coordinate the boarding process. Once on the Easter Island, the group will be welcomed at the Mataveri airport around 1:00pm. There will be a welcoming ceremony with flower necklaces followed by a quick “recon” visit of Hanga Roa, Easter Island’s capital. Dinner and accommodation.

 

DAY 2. HANGA ROA – TEMPLES – VOLCAN RANO RARAKU — ANAKENA BEACH

Breakfast. Full day tour with “lunch box” type open air lunch. We begin the trip by visiting the southeast and northeast coasts, the temples of Akahanga, Tongariki, Te Pito kura, Rano Raraku quarry, Anakena beach, return to the village. Approx. duration of 7 hours. Dinner and accommodation.

 

DAY 3. HANGA ROA – ORONGO CEREMONIAL TEMPLE & RANO KAU VOLCANO + CAVES & AHU AKIVI (7 MOHAIS)

Breakfast. In the morning, following the confirmation of your coordinator, there will be a half-day tour of the ORONGO ceremonial temple and the Rano Kau volcano. Return to hotel. At 3:00pm, departure for a second half-day tour to visit Cantera & Ahu Akivi caves and quarry (7 mohais). Dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 4. HANGA ROA

FREE DAY for optional tours/activities. Breakfast. Free day. Following the confirmation of your coordinator, there will be a free courtesy visit to Anakena for the group. Diner. Polynesian farewell show.

 

Note: It is possible that the optional tours/activities’ schedules conflict with the visit to Anakena, in which case those who choose to participate in these optional tours/activities may need to forfeit this courtesy visit to Anakena.

 

The Program does not include:

  • Meals during waiting times at the airport and during transfers.
  • Excursions that are not described in program.
  • Phone calls, laundry in the Hotel and nothing that isn’t described in this program.

Methods of Payment:

 

International passengers:

  • Cost per passenger: 1134$US
  • You can reserve your place with an initial payment of 200$US via credit card on the travel agency’s website (the exchange rate will be calculated on the day of the payment). The same method may be used to pay the remaining balance at the latest 4 months before the trip.

 

National passengers (Chileans):

  • Cost per passenger: 660$US
  • First payment of 132$US to reserve your place
  • 9 equal payments of 58.67$US
